What is “Yubidenwa”?

Yubidenwa is an app that makes your iPhone speak on your behalf when you are in a no-talk situation or if you have speech difficulties.
Type a text on the fly or get Yubidenwa to say it by tapping one of your custom words or sentences. You can even manage entire conversations this way.

Word groups

You can manage your conversations or situations by creating scenes. A scene is a grouping of words and or sentences. You can register up to ten words in advance per scene. Four scenes, represented by icons, are visible at a time. You can customize scene names and icons in the settings page.

Voice types

There are two male voices (Ryo and Sho) and two female voices (Sayaka, Haruka).

In the Japanese version, Yubidenwa speaks Japanese. We will release Chinese, Korean, English and Spanish versions.

Speak calmly at any time.

It may not usually be a problem, but you may sometimes not to be able to talk easily. For example even simple things like your address might be hard to say when you are nervous or in a difficult situation. It is reassuring to know that Yubidewa can speak for you about your allergies, treatments, condition…

Even complex sentences with homonyms…

箸 (Hashi) を持って橋(Hashi) の端(Hashi) を走(Hashi)った。 I ran (Hashi) on the edge (Hashi) of the bridge (Hashi) with a chopstick (Hashi). Yubidenwa can understand, interpret and speak such a difficult Japanese sentence very well.

Hitolingual

Hitori (one person) + Bilingual = Hitolingual.
Knowing how to speak good English and Japanese is hard. But Yubidenwa makes it easy. Just select your pre-entered Japanese sentences by tapping on the iPhone and Yubidenwa will make the appropriate translation. So as you are speaking English, Yubidenwa speaks Japanese. This is how to use Hitolingual.

A single two-man comic

You many need to suddenly make a two-man comic show. If your partner is not here, don’t worry, Yubidenwa can be your partner. Prefigure the talking contents before with Yubidenwa and then you just need to get the right tempo going. If you have tapped the wrong text, just select the right one. The speech of the previous text stops and the new one starts.

Yubidenwa earphone

Yubidenwa can be used for phone conversations and internet communications such as Skype thanks to Yubidenwa earphone.
It gives you the freedom of making calls from places where you wouldn’t normally be able to talk or be heard from. Like on a train during rush hour, at museums, theaters, concerts, etc…
Yubidenwa earphone will be sold in separately from the application.
